At Loamlife Media, we believe the best MTB films aren’t just about the riding — they’re about the people, the places, and the culture that tie it all together. Our latest video production with Patina Clothing, titled Sundays We Go to Church, is a perfect example of that.
What began as a clothing brand has become something much more — a community, a movement, and a reason to show up every Sunday, no matter the weather. This MTB film is our take on what that really looks and feels like.
A Different Kind of MTB Film
Shot across the flowing trails of Glentress Trail Centre and its off-piste playgrounds, this project brings together friends, riders, and creatives who all orbit around the Patina brand. It’s not just about the kit — it’s about meeting up, riding hard, having a laugh, and building something that feels like home.
Tom at Patina Clothing came to us with a simple but powerful brief:
" something that kind of shows the community, and the riding, not so much the kit and the logos, but the people behind it"
And that’s exactly what we aimed to do.
Behind the Scenes: MTB Video Production in Glentress

We shot the film over a two-day weekend with a stacked crew of 22 Patina community riders. Glentress gave us the perfect mix — tech lines, flow trails, roots, loam, and scenic off-piste. It let every rider in the Patina crew bring their style to the table.
Day 1 – Travel, Recce & Bike Repairs
Ben and Oli headed up from our Lancaster studio to Scotland. The original plan was to recce a few trails, spin a few warm-up laps, and catch up with Tom before shooting started the next day.
But the bikes had other ideas.
A mechanical on Ben’s bike threw the schedule off before we even got going. While Oli explored the trails, Ben spent the afternoon driving around Innerleithen hunting down a replacement mech and cassette lockring. The fix got done, and we wrapped the day with beers, food, and a pre-shoot meetup with the Patina crew.
Day 2 – The Ride, The Crew, The Vibe
We hit the trails early and kept the cameras rolling from start to finish. This wasn’t a staged shoot — it was real riding, real people, and all the usual chaos of an MTB weekend. From last-minute fixes to sending lines blind, everything was captured as it unfolded.
Yes, riders wore Patina gear. But we didn’t stage a fashion shoot. We focused on the energy, the moments, and the way Sunday rides have become something sacred for so many in the MTB scene.

About Patina Clothing
Patina is a UK-born MTB clothing brand that’s become a staple in the scene — not just for its clean race kits and casual wear, but for its commitment to community, creativity, and riding culture.
They represent the riders who show up for first runs and last beers, for dialled laps and wild crashes. The ones who keep it low-key, but always send it.
Produced by Loamlife Media

Thank You
Massive shoutout to the entire Patina crew, the riders, and everyone who helped make this shoot possible. Projects like this are only possible when everyone brings their full self — and this one had it all: the tracks, the madness, and the magic.
